If you remove a word in this mode, it removes it from both the audio and transcription.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scripting Mode:<\/strong> Edits only the transcription text for voice-over recordings. Scripting mode allows you to fix incorrect words and spellings in the transcription to export as a caption file or script. Double-click the transcription to enter scripting mode. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"notice notice-audiate\">\n\t<p><b>Note:<\/b> If you generated audio using an AI-generated voice, the audio regenerates with the latest changes when you exit Scripting mode. To learn more, see <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tsc-stage.co\/learn\/tutorials\/audiate\/text-to-speech\/\">Generate Audio from Text or a Script<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-edit-a-word\">Edit a Word<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can edit incorrect or misspelled words in the transcription. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Double-click the word to edit. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the correct word and click <strong>Done Scripting<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-find-and-replace-words\">Find and Replace Words<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Search for and replace a word or all instances of a word in the transcription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>Edit &gt; Find &gt; Find and Replace<\/strong> or press <strong>Alt+Control+F<\/strong> (Windows) or <strong>Option+Command+F<\/strong> (Mac). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Find pane opens. In the dropdown, select the <strong>Automatically Preview<\/strong> option to play the audio as you jump between instances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the words to find and replace into the fields. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the arrow buttons to jump between instances in the search results. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Replace<\/strong> to replace the current instance. Click <strong>All<\/strong> to replace all instances. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Done<\/strong> to close the Find pane. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-edit-the-transcription-timing\">Edit the Transcription Timing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Manually adjust the transcription timing for accurately timed captions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) a word and select <strong>Edit Transcription Timing<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The audio waveform opens. Drag the handles in or out to adjust the duration of the word in the transcription. <br><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"229\" height=\"186\" class=\"wp-image-206666\" style=\"width: 229px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.techsmith.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/a-transcription-timing.png\" alt=\"Drag transcription timing handles to adjust transcript timing\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.techsmith.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/a-transcription-timing.png 229w, https:\/\/www.techsmith.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/a-transcription-timing-150x122.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 229px) 100vw, 229px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-export-the-transcription\">Export the Transcription<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To export the media and synced captions to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techsmith.com\/camtasia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Camtasia Editor<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select <strong>Export<\/strong> <strong>&gt; Export to Camtasia<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Create a New Project dialog appears.
